Personal Profile:
A young and very keen CG artist, with a headstrong interest in all areas of computer graphics, being most competent in 3D modeling / animation and 2D graphic manipulation. A good team player, and a willful leader when it comes to problem solving, but above all possessing a great want to learn and gain knowledge. I have recently attained a Masters in Creative Multimedia
at the University of Teesside, and spend my spare time
creating limited edition artwork, some
of which is currently being exhibited around North East
Lincolnshire, and in Hull.
Key Skills:
- 4 years experience in Autodesk 3D Studio MAX versions 4 to 9
Using Max, I am fully competent in polygon modeling to a high standard. I can
also texture,
and animate to a high degree, fully understanding many of the
industry practices for these
disciplines. I have specialized in environment
modeling and character animation over the
past 4 years through my degree at the University of Teesside. In my Masters I have been
learning about spline / curve modeling, and finishing processes such as advanced lighting
using MAX's
light-tracer and Mental Ray, also texture baking, and in my own time following
my true passion and learning about 'particle flow' and the creation of realistic
effects such
as fire, smoke and water.
- 6 Years experience in Adobe Photoshop versions 4 to 9 (CS 2)
I am very experienced at using this digital art program, and I am competent to
the degree
where I can produce artwork exactly as it was envisaged before hand.
I understand many
of the mechanisms within Photoshop such as layer blending modes, photo filters using
hue / saturation, levels and brightness / contrast. I'm knowledgeable in some of the more
advanced masking techniques using
masking layers and curves with the pen tool.
Experience in other software packages including:
Corel Bryce, Corel Draw, Corel Photopaint,
Steinberg
Cuebase VST, Sonic Foundry Soundforge, Macromedia, Illustrator, Macromedia Director,

Experience:
I am currently working as a web-designer, and have been since the fall of 2005. I am an
invaluable part of a small team producing bespoke internet content and applications. I am the
lead graphical artist at HBP Systems Plc, and continuously strive to deliver the best quality 2D
and 3D graphics for paper and internet based platforms. Elsewhere, I have worked for a car
importing agency, where I was a valued part of a team, and entrusted with the responsibility to
drive brand new unregistered cars from the ferries around the docklands. I have also worked in
establishments dealing with customers and handling money. I have had work experience with
Immage 2000 sound and film studios, and Online Design, a company of architects.

Qualifications:
I attained a Masters Degree in Creative Multimedia at the University of Teesside in 2005.
I
qualified with a BA Honours Degree in Creative Visualisation at the University of Teesside
in
2004.
Four A levels with an 'A' in Art, and a 'C' in both Chemistry and Biology.
I have a grade 5 practical music in the discipline of the Trombone.

Interests:
Above all, I have a major interest in 3D computer graphics and artwork, and strive to work in
visual effects for film sometime soon. Elsewhere I have a keen interest in music, and play
many
different instruments including the Guitar and the Drums. I play in a rock band and an acoustic
group when I'm at home. Other interests include Athletics, and when I was 18 I was ranked at
number 4 in the country for Shot at the English Schools Athletics Association's
annual match.
Elsewhere I am interested in computer games and I love to attend the cinema
on to see
numerous films.

I have a current 10 year passport.
I have a clean current full driving licence, and own my own car.
